Lab
Small experiments in interface and interaction. Working artifacts — not pictures of them.
Experiments
Motion has a vocabulary
Five curves, one movement, fired at the same instant. Linear, ease-out, ease-in-out, the house spring, and a real spring — five toasts running in parallel so the difference between them stops being theoretical.
Intent is an intersection
A blank canvas, a moving cursor, and three diagnostic overlays — aim, motion, commitment — that visualize the math by which a hover becomes a decision. Building in the open, one gate at a time.
A side menu, contracting and expanding
A lateral rail that toggles between a labeled column and a glyph-only spine. A study in width animation, label restraint, and how interaction modes (click, hover, intent) change the feel of the same surface.
A collapsible menu, in the fewest moving parts
An accordion built on grid-template-rows so the height animation actually animates — and a small typographic study in how a control surface can carry character without ornament.
